Fishing Nets
Hand crafted, artisan fishing nets. Similar to its namesake, Vermilion Lake, this net is in a league of it's own. Equally refined and rugged, it is at home on the stream and hanging in a downtown office. Designed to be used, enjoyed, and passed on to the next generation. Made from start to finish in Minnesota.
Vermilion
Vermilion
A traditional net for the next generation. Built to last from solid, 100% Wisconsin Walnut, this net is as durable as it is beautiful. Completely waterproof, buoyant, and easy on fish with the included clear rubber net bag. Crafted with the fly-fisherman in mind, this net is also perfectly suited for canoe fishing, as well as boat fishing where a medium length handle is preferred. The Vermilion is large enough to accommodate trophy trout, yet small enough to wade with all day.
From Steelhead to panfish, Northern Pike, Bass, and everything in-between, the rubber net removes less of the fish's natural and protective slime than nylon bags. Time to release is also reduced with less tangling and easier hook removal. Meaning, more fish survive for future encounters.
Using only local, and sustainably harvested Walnut, minimizes environmental impact while also maximizing the nets beauty. Made using 5 laminations of steam bent walnut, with a solid walnut handle, makes for a very solid net. Being entirely Walnut is unique to the market today, and adds to the natural aesthetic beauty of these nets.
Choose from two sizes, with the large net intended for more boat based fishing or for extra large trout, steelhead, bass, and northern pike. The medium net is intended for stream fishing for smaller trout, panfish, or average bass. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery.
