Handmade from locally sourced and recovered trees, these one of a kind works of art offer a unique glimpse into the inner beauty of a tree. Each growth ring is captured through a unique process of sanding, polishing, burning and eventually printing. When properly burned, the flames burn away the less dense spring growth from a tree, leaving the denser winter growth. Ink is then rolled onto the denser rings, which are printed, leaving concentric circles marking a lifetime of growth.
